Description
I made a new friend a few days ago and she agreed to let me paint her! ^^ I needed the practice hew hew :3 Learned something new (though really I knew it all along, don't know why I didn't apply it to faces), start with shapes and then develop details, makes everything so simpler. Especially with photoshop too cuz you can move things around easily ^^
I remember as a kid I came to the conclusion that to be a popular artist (lol) I had to learn to draw people, but I had no interest whatsoever in drawing real people so I learned how to draw manga people! Yeah!
That actually was a really good idea cuz it taught me a lot how to construct body anatomy very well.
The only thing left to do is to learn how to draw realistically! I'm still not super interested in drawing people realistically, but I would love to draw a mix of anime and realistic faces when I illustrate so I hope to learn a few realistic things before I merge the two. Hopefully I succeed xP

As someone who is struggling with both human forms and the painter techniques vice the drawer [drawing] techniques I admire the representation you got here.
I don't know her, but I feel like she is a genuine and likable person from the glowing rendition you provide.
